For both new and experienced parents, getting a good night's sleep can often feel like searching for the Holy Grail. We have put together a list of top sleepy time products to help make night times a little easier.

2. Soft Night Light - A soft glow is great for being able to see what you are doing without disturbing baby too much. They come in all sorts of shapes and sizes: from lamps that fade out to ones that toddlers can operate by themselves, they are a definite must have for any child's room.
4. Baby Sling or Carrier - As well as being a great way of transporting your baby, slings and carriers offer numerous other benefits. You motion, smell, heartbeat and closeness soothes and comforts baby. Research shows that baby wearing helps settle colicky babies, often when nothing else seems to work. They provide a safe and secure environment for baby when shopping or in crowds. Baby wearing leaves your hands free to do other things that you need to do, great if you have other active children! Baby wearing is also good for your baby’s emotional and physical development.
5. Swaddling Wrap - A great way to soothe newborns. Why swaddle? The evidence is overwhelming that babies who are swaddled sleep longer and better. Swaddling inhibits the immature startle reflex, which disrupts sleep. Deep pressure is calming which is why swaddled babies cry significantly less. This is why swaddling is an excellent solution for a colicky baby. Difficult feeders, especially those who fight at the breast, tend to feed better with more coordinated sucks and swallows when they are swaddled. (Journal of Human Lactation, 2001).
6. Comforters - Comfort blankets give your baby an added sense of security and they begin to associate their comforter with settling down for sleep. Choose one with an interesting texture, satin tags or super softness so you baby will love holding it as they snuggle.

8. Dream Tubes Bed Guards - Dream Tubes are a safe bumper system making an easier transition from cot to cotbed or single bed. Simple and easy to use, with two long inflatable tubes which fit snugly into pockets in a soft cotton fitted sheet, providing a safe and secure environment for your child. Provides a cosy cocoon for children, helps keep the duvet on the bed. They are compact and portable making Dream Tubes perfect for home, visiting or holidays.
10. Bath Time Lotions and Balms. A good lavender balm can really work wonders in calming your baby before bed. We love Badger Night Night Balm as a gentle massage as part of the bedtime routine. A good lavender essential oil can make a gorgeous calming spray to be used in the nursery. Remember to dilute well (the smell should be subtle, not overpowering) and no direct contact with baby's skin.
